Description

70% chocolate from Morin made from cocoa from the Carabo region, Venezuela.

Text from Morin about the provenance:

The port got its name in the times of colonization. The Spaniards gave it the name ‘Puerto Cabello’ because of the very calm sea. You can still tie a boat to the jetty by a hair, so they said, or joked. Cabello is Spanish for ‘her’ and that is how the port got its name. In the 17th century, the port was widely used by Dutch smugglers. It later became one of the favorite regions for the Spanish settlers to grow cocoa. This rich history for cocoa in this region allows for an enormous genetic variety and diversity of flavors, all found in the cocoa from the tropical heights of this region. The cocoa is Trinitario with a high Criollo content.
