Coup de Chocolat
Artisanal Belgian chocolate – it contains a lot of bonbons, bars and other chocolate.
Usually, however, the chocolate itself comes from gigantic factories, such as the Belgian Callebaut.
But fortunately … there is now truly artisanal Belgian chocolate from smaller makers. There are even several bean to bar chocolate makers. Mario Vandeneede had been around for a while. Also in Antwerp there is now a bean to bar chocolate brand: get acquainted with Coup de Chocolat .
Coup de Chocolat is the company of Isabelle Quirynen and Tom Geens. Isabelle was already active with a webshop in quality chocolate – BitterZoet. We also know her as an importer of the formidable chocolates from Cacaosuyo – which we receive through her.
Now Isabelle and her friend make chocolate. First of all, the Gusta bar, a 70% pure chocolate from Piura cocoa. That is not entirely coincidental also the cocoa where the Cacaosuya Piura Select is made. A nice first, we applaud this!
The idea is Coup de Chocolat ready with new bars, from cocoa from Combia. Now available!
More real Belgian chocolate? We also have 'Chocolatoa' .
