Dark chocolate with 90% cocoa from the Dominican Republic. Like all Definite chocolates, made entirely in the Dominican Republic.
The cocoa comes – again like all cocoa used by Definite – from the Dominican Republic. Specifically from Mallano, the farm of Jose Antonio Martinez Rojas, Altamira, Puerto Plata Province.
Taste notes described by the makers: raisin and blackcurrant.
A powerful taste – actually more than the 100% from the same maker that is made from Zorzal cocoa. This Mallano chocolate has more sour and more bitter, and therefore just a little more ‘in your face’ taste experience. Not unpleasant, because the fruitiness comes through nicely between the bitter tones and it still gives a nice balance.
Ingredients: cocoa beans (90%), cane sugar.
Content 60 grams. Maker’s Allergy Note: May contain traces of nuts, peanuts and milk. Gluten free.
Awards: Bronze Medal at Academy of Chocolate 2019
