Description
Milk chocolate with chrysanthemum tea.
Tasting Notes: Chrysanthemum fragrance layered with notes of honey and a long sweet finish
Chrysanthemum is a symbol of long life and rejuvenation. Brewed as a tea, it is believed to have cooling and cleansing properties. Prized chrysanthemum buds (杭州 胎 菊) native to Zhejiang, China, are blended with fruity cocoa from Rehoboth Estate to produce an elegant floral aroma and honey notes with a long, sweet finish.
That’s what the makers of Fossa in Singapore say about it. To be honest, we don’t think it is their best creation, but that could also be because it is a milk chocolate, and the chrysanthemum and the whole look more intense than elegant in terms of taste. Anyway – tastes differ, so you might like it. We prefer to go for the other amazing tea chocolates from Fossa, we just say it honestly. Could also be due to the moment of tasting, we tasted kasu chocolate after the sake – and maybe some of the taste of that lingered even though it was half an hour later.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, chrysanth flower buds.
Allergy note from the makers: made in a place where nuts and milk are also processed. Contains milk.
The cocoa comes from Reheboth Estate in the Philippines.
