The best name for a chocolate, it wins. Perfect for those who like ‘sprinkled’ chocolate, and then in this case richly. Because although it is certainly not the most extreme bar within the Omnom range (that honor goes to the BlacknBurned), it is a good example of Omnom from Iceland not immediately settling for a bar ‘investing’ with something or other. Then they do it right right away. And therefore on this dark chocolate: cranberries, salted almond, roasted barley and cocoa nibs.
The basis is the 70% dark chocolate from cocoa from Tanzania. The cocoa here (probably also due to the nibs, perhaps also the little salt of the almond) is different from the paint than with the ‘normal’ Tanzania from Omnom. We find it fairly flat for a chocolate from Tanzania. The cocoa butter is more prominent there. Here we definitely taste the more fruity / sour / happy that we appreciate so much in this cocoa. A sunny taste. And then it is nice that each bite tastes slightly different, sometimes with some cranberry and barley, then a bit more cocoa nib and almond, and so you bite through and before you know it, everything is finished.
Yes, it does. Not our favorite Omnom bar, because we are quite fans of additions in the bar and not on top. But … it is again a chocolate that is probably finished. 60 grams, so at least you do not eat yourself immediately. That also makes a difference.
Ingredients: cocoa beans (Tanzania), cane sugar, cocoa butter, almonds, Iceland barley, cranberries, sunflower oil, sunflower lecithin, salt.
Allergy Note: Contains barley and almond. May contain traces of nuts, milk and gluten.
Also nice to know: most of Omnom’s chocolate flavors are milk or white. They also have pure origin chocolates, which are definitely worth it (you should definitely taste the Madagascar) But as far as we know this is the first chocolate with flavors from them that is pure & vegan.
