Description

A nice dark origin chocolate from cocoa from São Tomé – island off the coast of West Africa.

The makers say: Portuguese colonists brought the Amolenado cocoa from the Amazon to the islands of São Tomé and Principe in the 1850s. Since then, a special, equally recognizable flavor profile has been created thanks to the unique soil and climate of the island group. A number of farming families from Roca de Santo Antonio in the Abade Valley have together built a facility for fermentation, drying and education – dedicated to high-quality cocoa in São Tomé. By carefully roasting and further processing we turned it into an aroma with rich aromas.

Taste note from the makers: walnut, raisins, banana and figs.

We certainly taste a variety of dark roasted nutty aromas (walnut), a slightly metallic flavor seems to appear in the distance. Not a personal favorite, but nice to be able to taste cocoa from São Tomé. Certainly in addition to the Saõ Tomé chocolate from Pralus – in a certain different style.

Ingredients: cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter.

Allergy note of the makers: may contain traces of milk and nuts.
