A filled chocolate from Zotter – as they have many – but this time slightly different. A layer of dark chocolate encases a layered filling consisting of a mandarin jelly, a green matcha tea ganache and a crispy coconut praline layer.
Nicely constructed in three layers – separated by dark chocolate – that differ in both taste and structure. A nice effect in the mouth, and just like these ‘Handscooped’ bars are more often like a bonbon.
This variant is dairy-free & vegan and of course, like everything from Zotter, fair & organic.
As far as we are concerned, the green tea is very subtle, although it gives a nice slightly bitter taste between the strong sweetness of the coconut (and chocolate and sugar) and the delicious sourness of the mandarin jelly. Nice combination, but don’t expect a very pronounced matcha sensation, as far as we’re concerned. A chocolate that fits seamlessly into the Zotter series. We ourselves sometimes find the soft jelly structure a bit difficult – that’s why we often like chocolate truffles or chocolate bars more than filled bonbons – but we understand that the jelly, ganache and praline together give a nice effect – and this bar will undoubtedly also attract many enthusiasts. we are convinced of that. Another good example that no milk is really needed in filled chocolate – it would not add anything here – rather detract from the combination of flavors.
