Description
Very fine chocolate from special cocoa from Mexico. Beautiful chocolate made by Fossa, masters from Singapore.
Finca La Rioja is an estate in Cacahoatán, Chiapas. It literally means ‘Place of cocoa’ in the old Toltec language. There criollo varieties from the older world are grown and the ‘Carmelo’ criollo-forastero hybrid known for its light color and thin skin.
Taste note from the makers: Tones of strawberry and cream. (You will certainly recognize the cream, and certainly a certain fruitiness too – complex – we certainly find it very tasty!)
And actually there is much more in terms of taste. Not mentioned on the bar, but on the site they put a more detailed description:
Complex flavors, a little bit of everything we love about chocolate. Fruity, nutty, caramel and creamy with then still light hay and sweet tobacco.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar.
Allergy note of the makers: made in a facility where nuts and milk are used.
