Bourbon Dark Milk ‘Hudson Valley’ chocolate from Fruition. A dark creamy milk chocolate with a hint of bourbon whiskey and oak in the taste.
The cocoa nibs are roasted and then kept for three months on wood from bourbon barrels. This way they get a ripening similar to wine and whiskey. The wood comes from bourbon barrels from Tuthilltow Spirits.
With 61% cocoa this is, of course, in terms of cocoa percentage, a pure chocolate. But there is milk in it, so it’s a milk chocolate. All in all: a pure milk chocolate. Logical, right?
