Description
Marou Tien Giang. 70% cocoa from Trinitario beans. These come from the Cho Gao district in Tiên Giang, Vietnam. Chocolate is also made by Marou on the spot, in Vietnam, Ho Chi Ming City (former Saïgon).
More chocolates are called ‘single origin’, if the cocoa comes from a single area or country, but Marou only uses cocoa from Vietnam. For all their chocolate. And makes everything entirely on the spot. In short, as a company entirely ‘single origin’ and ‘bean to bar’ busy. And we appreciate that!
The taste
Fruity, spicy.
An extensive English-language review can be found at ‘One Golden Ticket’ – it says, among other things: “Tien Giang had a smoky roast flavor that tasted in the first place quite strong. that contained prune, and a sweetness that was a cross between honey and toffee.
The ingredients
Cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter
The makers
Marou – a beautiful company in Vietnam.
