Description from the makers: “This unique chocolate is made from rare Peruvian white cocoa, known as Piura Blanco, which comes from this area. Don Ramon processes the cocoa beans from his 120 year old cocoa farm and from the village of La Pareja and he is the founder of the local cocoa farmers’ cooperative.
We are fortunate to be able to purchase his entire crop after falling in love with its unique flavor profile. This dark chocolate has an abundance of fruity sweetness, with notes of bright lime sorbet and blackcurrant that softly transition into notes of toffee apples and almond.”
Ingredients: cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter.
Allergy note: The chocolate factory also processes gluten, nuts, seeds and milk. So may contain traces of this.
Awards: Silver at the International Chocolate Awards.
