A bar where we continue to taste with interest, exciting flavors.
The bar is made from cocoa from Joya de los Sachas – which means ‘pearl of the jungle’. It lies deep in the Amazon area in the Orellana province of Ecuador. The cocoa for this bar is relatively unknown. The unique long cocoa fruits are immediately recognizable. The rich and raw green aromas and spiciness are partly due to the careful cultivation and fermentation, we have tried to retain these in the chocolate through careful processing into chocolate. Taste tones of fresh vegetables, dill and cinnamon can be noticed. (text from the maker)
Actually you have to forget the taste notes for a moment and only taste them as soon as you are back in them blank (and then do not look at the packaging) – because it is much more fun to go on a discovery tour yourself and only look afterwards and whether or not ‘aha, yes of course ‘.
In any case, we think it is a chocolate with a long, long aftertaste, with taste tones that definitely go towards green, and a nice creaminess. As a whole, a beautiful creation that we will continue to taste with pleasure.
