Description
Oops, that’s nice. The vegan salted caramel chocolate from Solkiki – made with Marañon cocoa from Peru (much awarded) but with the amazing extra: cocoa nibs with Armenian Ararat Brandy.
The brandy gives a wonderfully complex taste that – in our opinion – goes great with the cocoa. The whole is very tasty, warming taste notes and a lot to discover. And undoubtedly also very tasty to combine a piece of chocolate with other goodies. But like this, on the couch, under a blanket. By the stove or just like that. Also very fine.
Solkiki says about this chocolate:
“The base of this chocolate is our 60% coconut pure-milk Maranon chocolate. After the launch of this base bar in 2015, it has won many awards – a favorite ever since. The chocolate is mild yet complex and forms a beautiful base for deeper and richer notes of the world famous Ararat Brandy.
Extinct for a century, rediscovered by chance, and as the number of cocoa trees increases, we are proud to have played a part in the Maranon story since 2014. Temperamental, sensitive and complex, this is a challenging cocoa to understand.
ARARAT brandy is a handcrafted drink from the masters of the Yerevan Brandy Company, Armenia. The complex bouquet is a symphony of old wood, caramel toffee and chocolate with a rich aroma. Rich and smooth with notes of licorice and dried fruits. Long and persistent with a perfectly balanced finish, it is a perfect partner for our 60s.
This bar has appeared in our exclusive subscription packs since the summer of 2018 and in response to the feedback, we are delighted and excited to launch the chocolate for everyone to enjoy. ”
