Description
Dark 70% of cocoa from Fiji. Made into chocolate by Soma.
What the makers say:
“The Mataswalevu Cocoa Farm is located in the hills in the north of Vanua Levu Island and is trying to breathe new life into the cocoa industry of Fiji. Their plantation grows Amelonado cocoa with new trees from the Trinidad Selected Hybrids (TSH).
On the national flag is a cocoa pod in the claws of a lion, a sign of Fiji’s history and the exciting time to come for a new generation of cocoa farmers. The cocoa beans are special because of the unique terroir of Fiji and also because of the concept in Fiji of ‘Vanua’ – the idea that the country is part of the self, including life, livelihood and culture “
Taste note: chocolate, honey, grapefruit.
A nice video discussion of the bar, with certainly also a different taste experience (and you will always see that, tastes and smells we all experience slightly differently and that is not bad at all), certainly interesting, you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcWFraUGPiw
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter.
Allergy note of the makers: may contain traces of peanuts, all types of nuts, soy & milk.
