A special chocolate made with red wine.
Of course you can very well try to make your own pairing with each type of red wine. But Zotter makes it easy for you. One chocolate specially tailored to red wine. Zotter does this not only through the chocolate itself, but also because a black currant & cherry couverture has been added (25% in total). Immediately a whole of chocolate & powerful fruitiness. Which is perfectly matched as a basis to enjoy with a glass of red wine.
Taste profile of the makers: intensely powerful in fruit with notes of red currant, grape, citrus and an echo of red wine.
Ingredients: cocoa mass, cane sugar, cocoa butter, dried red currant, skimmed milk powder, dried cherries, soy lecithin, lemon powder (lemon juice concentrate, corn starch, sugar)
One of the nicer sides to being a great chocolate retailer is that we have a lot of chocolates and we enjoy having them tasted together with all sorts of other goodies. Chocolate combines very nicely. With whiskey, with certain beers, wines, cheese, etc. We usually combine that with chocolates without additives. Because there is enough variation in the chocolate itself depending on the origin, cocoa percentage, etc. But Zotter makes it easy with their two chocolates for wine (white or red). Not too specific, just generally suitable. The addition of the fruit couverture makes it a bit easier to say in general: this fits together. So nice to have it with you if you want to have a tasting. Then you can always try some riskier combinations afterwards.
Fair, organic. 75% cocoa.
